Final evaluation

From my point of view, all these steps made to get to the end of this project, have contributed in a very positive way for me. This journey has contributed not only with regarding to improve or to learn new skills but also for my personal growth. This experience has helped me to improve my abilities in comunication with others, tought how to work with different hair types and how to set and style it. 

    I have also enjoyed discovering in a detailed way the variety of techniques that Elizabethans used to create their hair-styles. It is amazing finding out how the history contributes to have a present and to create a future; And especially how symbolic every detail was in clothing as well as in hair-styling.     Regarding my final design for the assessment, I have tried to be creative, original and also to bring the history into the modern world. For making it I tried to create a design made of a combination of Elizabethan hair-styles with some Contemporary touches, and adding to it some symbolic elements. 

    All these things taught me how to manage the own time and how to be organized in order to complete the weekly homework. I feel that this project has given me the opportunity to introduce myself. It also has motivated me to continue with more determination and encouraged me to free my creativeness for my future designs. 

Final evaluation

     During this unit, I've learned many new and interesting things, especially technical skills useful not only for the brief on which our brief( "Redheads and royality") was based on. I am sure that I will need all these skills in my future career too. I believe that the skills studied in this chapter are basic and form the foundation of most of the hair designs and especially for an Elizabethan hairstyle. I feel that I have done my first steps towards the professionalism,as we were taught how to behave from the very basic rules on how to introduce ourselves and what are the right things to do to appear in the best way. 

      Regarding the final assesment, I was in the role of a hairstylist, performing the design that my partner  created. The result is not exactly what I actually expected, but in spite of difficulties I met, I think I did a good job. I found some difficulties because my partner changed the padding for the assesment day, into bigger paddings I was using during the practical lessons and also because of her hair tyle. She has asian hair with which is hard to manipulate as it is heavy and rebel. I was also concentrated to manage to finish the design in time as I didn't take a prep-time, because I thought that I work fast enough for creating that design without extra-time.
